Practical Tips Our Children Can't Do Without During Ramadan
Many parents find it challenging for their children to balance the duties of this holy month—such as fasting, praying, and reading the Quran—with their daily lessons. This can be particularly challenging for diligent students who want to reap the rewards of Ramadan while also staying on top of their school responsibilities, which cannot be delayed.
To these students and their esteemed parents, we offer some practical advice:
- 1. Organize Time Effectively: It is crucial during this holy month to help our children meticulously organize their time, including sleep, worship, and study sessions, ensuring that no single obligation overshadows the others.
- 2. Focus on Iftar and Suhoor: Paying attention to the Iftar and Suhoor meals is essential for helping our children keep up with their schoolwork and lessons. We should guide our children to avoid both overeating and under-eating, ensuring that the meals are healthy and nutritious.
- 3. Encouragement and Motivation: Encouragement plays a significant role in helping our children of all ages continue with fasting, Taraweeh prayers, Quran reading, and their studies. We should not hesitate to offer supportive words, phrases, and rewards to motivate them.
- 4. Highlight Positive Role Models: It is vital to introduce our children to positive role models during this month, showing them exemplary behavior in good deeds. Parents should strive to present these role models through practical examples in various situations.
- 5. Daily Trips to the Mosque: Taking children along for daily trips to the mosque, especially for Taraweeh prayers, significantly enhances their relationship with their parents and positively impacts their mental health, which will reflect in their behaviors.
May you and all your loved ones enjoy good health, wellness, and prosperity during this blessed month.
